WILLEMSTAD - In the night from Monday to Tuesday, two people who were in hospital with Covid-19 died in Curaçao. It concerns a person of 73 and one of 74 years old. That was confirmed by the hospital on Tuesday morning.

Both persons were not in intensive care, but in the hospital's special Covid-19 ward. At the moment there are still six people in that ward, four people are in intensive care.

This has increased the number of corona deaths to six people. New, stricter Covid-19 measures came into effect on Curaçao from December 1 to prevent further spread.

A total of 1,224 people were infected with Covid-19 on Monday.
