WILLEMSTAD - The Tumba Festival started on Monday evening. it was a well-attended evening.  

The festival opened with the singing of the national anthem by Kirsten Mare. This was followed by the first eight participants of the festival. Well-known groups such as ONE Flavaz and the Highway Band, among others, performed the tumbas for 2023. Friday is the last day of the festival and the 'Rei di Tumba' will be announced.  

The last Tumba king was chosen in 2020. Then Ray Lauffer won with his tumba 'Korsou t'ei bula'.
