SCHIPHOL - Passengers of travel organization TUI who are on holiday on Curaçao are not happy that on their return flight a stopover is made in Aruba to repatriate travelers who are leaving the island because of the coronavirus that is spreading there.
TUI is conducting 3 flights these days to retrieve passengers from Aruba after the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a negative travel advice on Saturday. On Tuesday there is already a scheduled flight. There will be an extra flight on Wednesday.
Although the passengers who board on Curaçao and Aruba are not kept apart, according to TUI, there is no reason for concern. All travelers undergo a health check before departure and should anyone show complaints during the flight, he / she will be isolated in accordance with the protocols.
Currently there are more than 500 TUI customers in Aruba.
