TUI continues to fly to the Dutch Caribbean islands from Amsterdam

WILLEMSTAD - TUIfly will continue to operate its flights to Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire from Schiphol this summer. The airline reports this to the Dutch news site Curaçao.nu. Schiphol is forcing all airlines to significantly reduce the number of passengers in the high season months of July and August. But that has no consequences for flights to the Caribbean islands.

TUIfly regrets Schiphol's decision. Holidaymakers are unsure whether their flight will continue and from which airport if it does.

TUI says it can remove a large part of that uncertainty today. The company will not cancel TUIfly flights, everyone who has already booked can go on holiday, said Petra Kok, spokesperson for TUI Netherlands.

The vast majority of flight holidays will still depart from Amsterdam, within the limits set by Schiphol. For that part of the travelers who are no longer allowed to depart from Schiphol, TUI will use flights from regional airports.

In addition to holidays with flights from TUI fly, the company also offers package holidays with flights from Transavia, KLM and other airlines. TUI says it has not yet received full and detailed information and is unable to estimate the impact of the changes they will make at this time.

TUI says it will personally approach holidaymakers who have booked to provide up-to-date information.
