WILLEMSTAD - The Triniteit College and Kolegio Pierre Lauffer have officially merged to form the Triniteit Pierre Lauffer College (TPLC). The new nameplate for the merged school was recently unveiled, marking the official start of the new school year 2024-2025 under the joint institution.
The collaboration between the two schools was initially announced in March, and the merger has now been successfully implemented. During the unveiling ceremony, students showcased their talents, with first-year students performing a rap they had written as a tribute to the care and dedication of their teachers.
School Director Falery Nivillac expressed her pride in completing the merger on time. "Thanks to everyone's efforts, we made this fusion possible," said Nivillac.
Wladimir Kleinmoedig, the sector director of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, represented the minister at the event and spoke about the significance of the merger. "The name Pierre Lauffer symbolizes care and attention for the students—values that will remain central at TPLC," Kleinmoedig stated.
The new motto for TPLC is "Connected in learning, written by passion."
