Trade unions angry about informative letter Minister Konket

WILLEMSTAD - Trade unions are angry about an informative letter that Minister Amin Konket sent to all civil servants last week. This is the reason why they have called on all civil servants to report to the union building at ABVO this morning and not to go to work. It concerns the trade unions representing the, including police, customs officers and teachers: ABVO, NAPB, STRAF, SAP and SITEK.

In the letter in question, the Minister of Management, Planning and Government Services Armin Konket states that there is not enough money to meet agreements on indexation, wages and compensation now. These are all matters that were previously agreed with the trade unions. The unions are angry that the government is communicating with the civil servants without first consulting with their representatives.
