Three men deported to the US will return to Curaçao and St. Maarten

WILLEMSTAD – This year three men who were extradited to the US on February 14, 2017, accused of drug trafficking, will return to Curaçao and St. Maarten after they were convicted in the US.

These men are Ramphis Rietwijk (1965), Rogelio Koeiman (1968), and Gilbertico Felesia (1978). They have been waiting their return to the islands since last year. They left from the islands on special flights with US authorities.

Once they are back, they will have to appear before the judge who in turn will turn their sentencing received in the US for the equivalent in the local judicial system. After that, they will serve the remainder of their prison sentence in Curaçao and St. Maarten.

 

It is not exactly known when the trio will return, but according to information, it will take place this year.
