The governor holds consultations with the Advisory Board

WILLEMSTAD - Governor Lucille George-Wout received the members of the Advisory Board at the governor's palace last week.

The governor holds these periodic consultations every so often. There was talk about the development of legislation and the current state of affairs in the country.

More details on what was discussed were not disclosed.

The Advisory Council is the highest and final advisory body of the government and is one of the High Councils of State. The other High Councils of State are the Parliament of Curaçao, the General Audit Chamber of Curaçao and the Ombudsman. The Council also advises the Parliament of Curaçao.

The governor is the chairman of the Advisory Board. She can hold the chair as often as she considers necessary and in that case has an advisory vote.
