WILLEMSTAD - Last Friday, the Sitek educational union had their eighth day of actions. Yesterday, the trade union consulted with Minister of Education Marilyn Alcalá-Wallé.
The trade union hopes to get a satisfactory response from the government. Apart from cleaning schools, it also involves salaries and lack of material.
The government is going to try to get an agreement on paper today. If that succeeds, chances are that the actions will stop, and Monday will be a normal school day again.
The Minister understands that there are concerns among the teachers and she wants to try to find a solution for this.
