The draft legal basis for salary of MPs and Ministers presented to the Parliament

WILLEMSTAD - On February 12, 2021, the Council of Ministers decided to agree to offer to Parliament the draft National Ordinance on Financial Provisions Members and former members of Parliament and the draft National Ordinance on Financial Provisions Ministers. The drafts were completed on February 19 and presented to Parliament by the Governor and the Minister of General Affairs, the Minister of Finance, and the Minister of Administration, Planning and Services. 

The drafts serve to regulate the financial provisions of the members, the former members and the retired members of Parliament as well as their next of kin and orphans, respectively of the ministers, the minister plenipotentiary and the former ministers.

The monetary provisions include the remuneration and allowances, but also the pension, survivor's pension, orphan's pension, and bridging benefit after termination of parliamentary membership or dismissal of the minister.
