Tania Kross wants a theater in Curaçao

WILLEMSTAD - Opera singer Tania Kross wants to build a new theater on Curaçao. She revealed this in the Op1 program on Dutch television. Next Tuesday, Tania Kross can be seen in the Dutch program Volle Zalen, where she will explain how she wants to achieve this.

The well-known presenter Cornald Maas travels in that episode to Curaçao, where Kross lives again and where the opera singer is working on a theater concert.

In the episode of Op1 last Monday, Kross sang “Curaçao di nos e ta” by the well-known local composer Chin Behilia which is a song about the sun, the wind and the rock, to keep loving and an island for everyone.

She did that at the burned down Sentro Pro Arte. This theater on the Schouwburgweg officially opened in September 1968. The theater was a gift to the population. It came about with donations from the Dutch government, Shell, government services and local private companies. Sentro Pro Arte officially closed its doors in 2001.
