WILLEMSTAD - The Kitten Rescue Curaçao Foundation will hold a sterilization week for cats from Sunday. The organization calls on social media to have as many animals as possible sterilized.  

People who do not have the financial means themselves can temporarily have this done for free. Kitten Rescue emphasizes that it is important to have both cats and males spayed and neutered. This also reduces the risk of diseases such as cancer. The cats also stop fighting and they no longer urinate everywhere.  

The sterilization week takes place from 12 to 17 February. The animals must be brought to the shelter in Bandabou themselves and registration is required in advance.
