Size of domestic violence problem not yet mapped

WILLEMSTAD - The National Plan against Domestic Violence was initiated in April 2018, but there is not yet a clear picture of how big the problem is.

Four ministries have worked on the National Plan for no less than seven years. It also states that an inventory is being made of the problem, but that has not happened after a year and a half.

According to Ruthline Koeiman-Benschop, the initiator of the project, several organizations have been working for a number of years on combating domestic violence and child abuse.

She explains that by combining the forces of all organizations, more results can be achieved.
