WILLEMSTAD - "Well-being in Cultural Context - Get to know it, honor it and transfer it", that is the focus of Siman di Kultura 2021 (Culture Week 2021). The official opening took place on Sunday morning at Landhuis Doksterstuin.

Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Sithree van Heydoorn was present at the 'transfer of wisdom and solidarity'. Rina Penso, one of the older actresses of Curaçao, symbolically handed over a cord to the young actress, Tiara Richards. She is known for her role in the movie 'Bulado'.

The cord stands for connectedness, both connectedness between people and connectedness between well-being, health and culture.

During this culture week, emphasis will be placed on the combination of culture and health, which automatically leads to well-being. Well-being in general is an important topic, and has been a relevant one for a long time.

For now, the focus is mainly on six dimensions: well-being and physical health, well-being and social health, well-being and intellectual health, well-being and spiritual health, well-being and emotional health, and well-being and professional health.
