Shops also have adjusted closing times

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao has a 'Lei Seku' (dry law) from today, but this does not only apply to the catering establishments but other commercial companies must also adhere to new, stricter COVID-19 measures until December 21.

All stores, including shopping centers, must close by 6pm with the exception of supermarkets, mini markets, Asian shops (tokos), bakeries, pharmacies, gas stations and lottery offices. These may remain open according to their permit, but no later than eight o'clock in the evening.

The maximum number of people allowed per location is 50% of the capacity with a maximum of 50 people. Furthermore, the same rules that have been set from March of this year on hygiene and social distance apply.

Also, all stores, businesses and other establishments must take additional measures to ensure compliance with social distance and hygiene protocols for both their staff and customers. Wearing a face mask is mandatory.
