WILLEMSTAD - Together with more than 150 other countries, Curaçao will participate in the second edition of the "World Clean Up Day" on Saturday 21 September. The aim is to clean up as much waste as possible worldwide on that day and to draw attention to the pollution problem.

In the last week before the cleaning campaign the organization is still looking for additional heavy equipment. Companies that have trucks, loaders, bobcats and containers, for example, are kindly requested to report to the World Clean Up Day organization.

Selikor is already present and plays an important logistical role in the removal of waste that has been collected by others, says the director of the waste collector Wesley Kook.
