WILLEMSTAD - Waste management company Selikor has announced adjustments to Curaçao’s household waste collection schedule due to unforeseen technical difficulties that affected operations last week. As a result, several routes were left incomplete, causing delays in various neighborhoods.
Selikor stated in a press release that it is working to address the backlog by prioritizing previously missed areas. The company’s garage staff is currently addressing technical issues with the garbage trucks, and the waste collection schedule will be modified as needed to ensure service continuity.
To fully resolve the backlog, Selikor may require employees to work through the weekend, including Saturday and Sunday if necessary. The company apologizes for the inconvenience caused by these delays and reaffirms its commitment to maintaining reliable waste management services.
