WILLEMSTAD - The first part of the new hospital was delivered by Ballast Nedam in mid-December. This was confirmed by Clifton Walle who is responsible for the communication about the transition from the old to the new hospital. In the second half of February, a second part of the Curacao medical center will be completed, after which the entire building will be delivered in April.
At the end of February, the transition to the new hospital will also begin in part. When everything is ready, there are still several months reserved to check if everything is in good quality: "Whether the cables work, for example, and the pipes have been installed correctly," explains Walle.
If the supervisors have completed this process, the staff can be trained to go to work in the new building. In the second half of this year, the Curacao Medical center should open.
