"Screening law must be discussed"

WILLEMSTAD - The rules regarding ancillary positions must be amended in the screening law. That is the opinion of Member of Parliament for the coalition party PAR, Stephen Walroud. According to Walroud, this is only about clarifying aspects of the law.

For example, it would currently not be possible to be a minister if you are also the chairman of a soccer club or a charity. According to Walroud, this problem has also been raised by the Public Prosecution Service and should now, after 8 years, really be discussed.

Walroud calls it nonsense that discussing and possibly amending the law has something to do with the commotion surrounding health minister Suzanne Camelia-Römer. “The screening law is decisive, and this has to be discussed for much longer. We have already addressed this before.”
