Schotte again in court today

WILLEMSTAD - Gerrit Schotte was back in court today. This time of own will. The convicted former Prime Minister wants Roberto Pellicano to be heard. He is a former Public Prosecutor in Italy.

He could testify that the Public Prosecution Service in Willemstad lied in the trial against him. It will not change much for the penalty of Gerrit Schotte, who is definitive after the cassation appeal. But Schotte says that once Pellicano is heard, the court could reopen his case. He will have a chance for a fair trial.

Schotte appeared today in his orange jumpsuit. According to sources, he was expecting his life partner to bring clothes for him to appear in court but that did not happen. He was seen by many in his prison uniform.
