School Transport Applications Now Digital

WILLEMSTAD The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Governance, Planning and Public Service (BPD), and the Ministry of Traffic, Transportation and Urban Planning (VVRP) have worked together to introduce an easier way to apply for school transport for the 2025–2026 academic year—online.

Starting July 3, the three ministries will jointly launch the digital platform (e-CuraCase) for students who do not have access to transportation to reach school. For decades, the Ministry of Education has been providing school transport to students who are unable to attend school due to lack of transportation. That process has now changed. Beginning July 3, parents, guardians, or educational institutions no longer need to go in person to the Permit Office but can instead apply digitally—from the comfort of their home using a computer or mobile phone.

To apply for school transport, all the required conditions and documents are listed on the government website: https://loketdigital.gobiernu.cw. In addition, the Permit Office has released a video showing how to use the system. Information is also available on the Permit Office’s official Facebook page.

For those who still prefer to apply in person, the Permit Office remains open during regular office hours: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The office will also open on the following Saturdays specifically for school transport applications: July 26, and August 9, 16, and 23, 2025. These additional openings are exclusively for the 2025–2026 school transport application process.
