WILLEMSTAD - The number of firearm-related criminal cases on Curaçao is alarmingly increasing, particularly among young people.
Recently, the court handled several cases involving young defendants in possession of firearms, often in public spaces. In one specific case, a 20-year-old suspect was caught with a revolver and eight bullets. However, the case has been postponed due to a missing report.
Authorities are emphasizing that the possession and use of firearms will not be tolerated, especially amid a surge in violent incidents and armed robberies related to firearms.
