Rhuggenaath heads to the Netherlands

WILLEMSTAD - Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath will be present at a meeting of the Kingdom Council of Ministers this Friday. He hopes to reach a definitive agreement with the Netherlands on financing and sustainable cooperation. According to Premier, "there is not much left to reach definitive agreements with the Dutch government". He did indicate that the last few steps weigh the most.

On July 7 of this year, the Netherlands sent a package of measures to the governments of Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten to reach agreements about a new loan. The Netherlands has also announced its intention to invest in the three countries. So far no agreement has been reached with any of the three countries. With the presence of Curaçao at the upcoming Kingdom Council of Ministers, Curaçao now seems the closest to this.
