WILLEMSTAD - Yesterday morning at 9:40 am the Rescue and Coordination Center (RCC) of the Coast Guard received a call that a private yacht had problems with its engines. The pleasure yacht DON B was on its way to Klein Curaçao and got engine trouble at Hambrak.
It was no longer possible to sail to Klein Curaçao by boat, requesting assistance. The Coast Guard helicopter localized the yacht. The RCC then asked the volunteer organization Citro to dispatch a unit to assist. The yacht and the twelve people on board were taken back to Curaçao by the Citro. The boat is safely moored at the fishing port.
