Ramon Chong goes to court to become minister

WILLEMSTAD - Chairman of the coalition party PNP, Ramon Chong is going to court to clear his name and thus become a minister in the Pisas cabinet. Earlier, Chong was rejected from becoming Minister of Economic Development because he failed the screening process.

Yesterday, his lawyer Michael Bonapart officially announced that Chong would not accept this and would go to court. Bonapart emphasizes that the offense for which Chong was rejected was 15 years ago. This is more than the eight years that are normally included in the decision-making process regarding ministerial posts.
