Radulphus takes measures after incident

WILLEMSTAD - The Radulphus High School takes measures after the incident last week. Through a combination of messages via WhatsApp and hard blows on lockers, panic broke out at the school and students and teachers thought that a shooting was taking place.

Director of the school Marion Thomasia said that the current emergency plan will be further supplemented, and clear instructions will be issued for emergency situations. An app group has also been created for personnel to be used for emergencies and the director says that they will be conducting exercises.

In the coming period there will still be social workers at school to assist students if necessary. The security that was present at the school last week is no longer there this week. However, there are regular police cars in the area that are ready to act in case this is needed.
