Public Prosecution expects more arrests due to video footage of the riots

WILLEMSTAD - The Public Prosecution Service arrested 23 rioters during the disturbances at the end of last month. In a press statement, the Public Prosecution Service says that severe penalties will be demanded.

A maximum of six years stands for sedition and looting, and 12 years for arson. The investigation is still ongoing. Video is currently being viewed and individuals who have committed crimes are identified. The Public Prosecution Service therefore expects even more arrests by the police.
