Prime Minister Rhuggehaath held back-to-back meetings at the World Bank

WASHINGTON, WILLEMSTAD - World Bank is an institution that helps countries around the world with their sustainable development goals. The Prime Minister of Curaçao Eugene Rhuggenaath announced that in Washington D.C. he had a meeting with the International Financial Corporation (IFC) team and also the 'Doing Business' team of the World Bank, who works on investigating the business & investment climates around the world.

The IFC works with the private sector and helps prepare large investment-projects (ex. business case).

“We talked about the possibilities in the most competitive sectors, as logistics, maritime, telecom and IT.

The Prime Minister also said that he talked about the urgent search for a strategic partner for the refinery. The IFC team will investigate the possibilities to finance a scoping mission to Curaçao in the near future.
