WILLEMSTAD - The organization of the Curaçao Pride calls on entrepreneurs, foundations, and individuals to raise the rainbow flag during the Pride week or to express their support for the Pride via social media. The Curaçao Pride week will take place this year from September 30st through October 3rd. Flags can be hoisted from Monday September 27th. Due to the corona measures, the events are on the back burner this year and that is why the organization asks for support for equal rights for the LGBTQI community in this way.

“It is important that we all speak out for equal rights for all people in our society. Everyone knows someone in their environment who belongs to this target group, and it is no longer of this time to exclude people based on sexual preference. By raising the flag or making a statement on social media, you show your support for equal rights and treatment. By organizing the annual Curaçao Pride and raising awareness in collaboration with other foundations on the island, we hope to bring about a change in acceptance and equality.”

During the activities that take place during the Pride week, the corona rules, as indicated by the government, are applied.
