WILLEMSTAD - On Thursday, March 16, 2023, the police station in Punda conducted a successful traffic check on Dominico F. Don Martina Boulevard. A total of 108 vehicles were checked and the police issued 40 fines for various offenses.  

During the traffic stops, the police officers checked for a valid driver's licenses, whether the road tax had been paid, whether the insurance papers were in order, whether the seat belt was fastened, and whether the car had valid front and rear license plates. In addition, a valid residence permit was also checked.  

These checks should contribute to improving road safety in Curaçao and should ensure that drivers are aware of their responsibilities on the road.
