WILLEMSTAD - During a traffic and alcohol check, 55 fines were handed out this weekend. 126 cars were inspected.

The police checkpoints were on the Kaminda Venicio Isenia and the Santa Rosaweg. Most fines were handed out for not having the vehicle documents in order. Also, several vehicles did not adhere to the dark-tinted windows regulation.

Seven cars were towed away, and two drivers had to do a breath test. Thirty drivers still had an outstanding fine and could only leave after payment or after a payment arrangement.
