WILLEMSTAD - The police are alert to the use of fake license plates. They indicated this following the introduction of Plachi di Dia (plate of the day).

Starting today drivers can no longer just go on the road for urgent, essential matters. They can only do that if your license plate starts with the letter allowed on that day, it is the so-called "License plate of the Day" principle.

Yesterday a video went viral in which a man offered his old license plates for rent. The police are clear: That is not allowed, and it will be checked. The police are further investigating the creator of the video.
