WILLEMSTAD - The Minister of Economic Development Dr. Steven Martina was present this morning at the official reopening of Plasa Bieu [Plaa-za Bjieuw].

The market in Punda selling local food was closed for several months due to the corona pandemic. Since July 1, Plasa Bieu has opened its doors again and food is being sold.

A total of thirty people works at various stands. Plasa Bieu uses many products from local agriculture. Plasa reopened in March 2019 after a major renovation. It had also been closed for several months before that.
