WILLEMSTAD - A serious accident took place on Rooseveltweg last night; a pedestrian was hit by a car.

Initially, the police had only been told that there had been an accident, but the exact situation was not known. The first patrol car to arrive was confronted with a serious situation. Based on this, they called in more help.

The victim was unconscious and in critical condition. After the ambulance arrived, the woman was immediately connected to medical equipment and rushed to the CMC.

Authorities have not released anything about the victim's current condition.
