Parliamentary investigation on construction new hospital

WILLEMSTAD - The Parliament of Curaçao agreed on Tuesday to a parliamentary investigation on the additional costs associated with the construction of the new hospital, formerly known as Hospital Nobo Otrobanda (HNO), nowadays as Curaçao Medical Center (CMC).

The parliamentary inquiry is an initiative of the factions of MFK, Kòrsou di Nos Tur (KdNT) and Movementu Progresivo in Parliament, which submitted a request for this on 6 October 2018 to the President William Millerson.

Originally a new hospital was going to cost the country 108 million dollars. The members of the opposition parties want to know what has happened to all that money? Last year, it was announced that the new hospital was faced with 150 to 200 million guilders in additional costs.
