WILLEMSTAD - A 28-year-old man has to go to prison for a month because his phone was full of child pornography. Photos and videos of children between the ages of one and two years to 13 years old, some of them taken in Curaçao.  

The man claimed during the lawsuit that he never forwarded the images and that he could not delete them, because he now had more than 7,000 photos on his phone, too many to check photos individually to remove them. He had not actively downloaded the photos and videos, but came to his phone via WhatsApp groups.  

The judge agreed to the demand of the Public Prosecution Service, also because, according to the judge, the 28-year-old man understood the seriousness of the situation.
