Number of homes in Curaçao is growing spectacularly

WILLEMSTAD - The number of homes in Curaçao has grown spectacularly this century. In 2001 there were just under 50,000, now there are 75,000 houses on the island.

This was reported by the Central Bureau of Statistics. The growth follows the population growth and is stimulated by the government.

The vacancy rate has fallen since 2011. At that time, more than 5,000 homes were vacant, now that is just over 3,000. A 37 percent decrease.
