WILLEMSTAD - Yesterday, 94 corona infections were registered on Curaçao. This has brought the number of infections below 100.

A total of 5 new infections were added on Sunday. One new infection could be directly linked to known infections. 15 people were declared cured. A total of 228 people were tested.

There are still six people infected with Covid-19 in the hospital, three of them in intensive care. On Saturday, no new corona infections were registered in Curaçao for the first time in a long time.

A total of two hundred people were tested for this on Saturday, none turned out to be positive. The number of infections has dropped significantly on the island in recent weeks. At the beginning of December, there were more than 1,800 active infections. Measures, such as curfews and a ban on meetings, seem to be having an effect.

The government is generally satisfied with the behavior of the citizens. Twenty people on the island have died from Covid-19 since March last year.
