WILLEMSTAD - The well-known Curacao pianist Norman Moron is the Winner of the Boeli van Leeuwen Award 2019.
This prize is awarded every two years by the Curaçao government on the birthday of the famous Curaçao writer. Moron will receive the prize next Thursday during a ceremony at the Avila Hotel.
The most recent presentation of the Boeli van Leeuwen Prize was to journalist Mariano Heyden. Normally it is not announced in advance who the winner of the Boeli van Leeuwen Prize is, but as a result of an error the organization has revealed its name earlier this year.
