WILLEMSTAD - A prisoner at Sentro di Detenshon i Korekshon Korsou (SDKK) has applied to leave the prison under electronic surveillance. The Minister of Justice has decided not to grant the request.

The reason for this is that the detainee allegedly violated several rules. The matter is now before the Court.

In 2019, authorities found a mobile phone and an earpiece in the prisoner’s cell. This is contrary to the Ministerial Order for the application of electronic surveillance. He also violated probation rules.
