WILLEMSTAD - Nine individuals were arrested on Wednesday for lacking valid residency documents. 

The police, along with a multidisciplinary team, conducted a check at an apartment complex under construction on Sta. Rosaweg. Of the 15 foreign nationals who were checked, three had their documents in order, while the remaining 12 were found to be staying on the island illegally. 

The arrested individuals are of Colombian, Mexican, Jamaican, Peruvian, and Ecuadorian nationality and are awaiting deportation.
