WILLEMSTAD - Shalick Clement is the new spokesman for the Coast Guard. She replaces Cynthia Devere, who served as acting spokesman after Roderick Gouverneur left in July 2018. Shalick has years of experience in the field of marketing and communication. She has completed her HEAO education in the Netherlands and has returned to Curaçao, where she worked for eight years as a Public Relations Officer.
“As a spokesperson, I will share information both internally and externally, about the many operational actions and activities of the Caribbean Coastguard. In addition, I will inform the communities of the Dutch Caribbean islands and make them aware of safety and illegal activities at sea,” said Mrs. Clement.
The Coast Guard thanks Roderick Gouverneur for his years of dedication to the organization and wishes him every success with his new challenge. Coast Guard wishes Shalick Clement success in her new role.
