WILLEMSTAD - Independent Member of Parliament Zita Jesus-Leito is seeking updates on the plans for the former brothel Campo Alegre. The MP plans to ask Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas (MFK) questions during the upcoming parliamentary question hour about the purchase of Campo Alegre and the latest developments. 

The government purchased the former open-air brothel at the end of September 2023. Jesus-Leito is curious about the actual purpose the government envisions for the complex. She also wants to know if the entire Council of Ministers agreed with the purchase and which minister or ministry provided the advice for the purchase. 

Additionally, Jesus-Leito questions why the government did not inform the public about the purchase and why the plans for Campo Alegre have not been shared.
