WILLEMSTAD - Last night a motorcyclist was killed after he was hit by a pick-up truck. That happened at the Andres Belloweg, crossing Pater Peiszstraat in Brievengat.

Witnesses reported that the black pickup truck was driving at high speed. The driver stepped out of his car after the crash, to see what had happened, then stepped back in and took off. He was arrested later.

The identity of the motorcyclist has not yet been released. He is the first fatal victim in traffic this year.
