WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Music Export Office, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and CINEX, recently took three Curaçao-based producers to Atlanta as part of the MOBO Music Mission 2024. Organized by Henca Maduro, along with support from the Dutch government, Dutch Music Export, Buma Stemra, and the Fund for Performing Arts Netherlands, the mission brought together songwriters and producers from both the Netherlands and Curaçao to collaborate with U.S. songwriters, producers, A&R managers, and artists.
The delegation had the opportunity to work alongside top industry names such as Troy Taylor, Masspike Miles, Inigosane, and Kai Ca$h. Additionally, productive meetings were held with record labels including QC, Ear Drummers, and Generation Now.
Jaap Veerman, Consul-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, expressed his support for these initiatives, emphasizing the importance of continuing to visit Atlanta to foster more collaborations and increase song placements with renowned U.S. artists.
The Curaçao Music Export Office was established in late May by the Ministry of Economic Development to support local musicians and artists on their path to international success. Located in the International Economic Cooperation department at MEO, the office is dedicated to enhancing the global reach of Curaçaoan musical talent.
Coming up on Saturday, November 9, 2024, the Curaçao Music Export Office will host a workshop titled "Zoné." This free session will offer aspiring musicians and artists a chance to learn how to take their music and talent to an international level. The course will be held from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Amazia.
