An initiative to reduce costs for local businesses and enhance their resilience by promoting digital transformation and sustainability
WILLEMSTAD - In addition to organizing “Upskill Curaçao” to enhance the skills of the island’s workforce, the Ministry of Economic Development is continuing another initiative aimed at supporting local businesses in improving their operational capabilities. The event, “Gov2Biz & Biz2Biz,” focuses on leveraging technology and sustainable practices to help local entrepreneurs reduce costs and increase efficiency. This event is part of the Landspakket program, which aims to cut costs and stimulate economic growth in Curaçao.

“Gov2Biz & Biz2Biz” will take place on November 20, 2024, from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Chateau Post 5, located in the PWFC building. During the sessions, representatives from Loket Digital, Mi Negoshi Support, and the MEO Inspection will present the latest digital services the government offers to support businesses.
The event will also feature success stories from local entrepreneurs who have achieved significant results in Curaçao through technological innovation and sustainable practices. Among the speakers are Osferney Nahr, who will share insights into the digital transformation of the taxi industry; Dr. Severing, who will discuss how technology can enhance local healthcare; Botika di Servisio, with a demonstration of the use of artificial intelligence in pharmacies; and Sovena Sales and Service, who will explain the cost-saving benefits of solar energy and LED lighting.
Additional speakers include Somesh Nagdev, CEO of Galvan Group, who will discuss the impact of technology on business growth, and Klarvin Cijntje from Spar Awa Solutions, who will provide information on water-saving techniques in agriculture. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with industry leaders and recruitment experts, making this event a key step in enhancing the capabilities of local businesses and professionals in Curaçao.
The event will conclude with a Networking Hour, offering participants the chance to connect with other entrepreneurs and experts, exchange ideas, and establish valuable contacts.
This event is organized as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. Both “Gov2Biz & Biz2Biz” and “Upskill Curaçao” underscore the Ministry of Economic Development’s commitment to driving economic growth by enhancing professional skills and supporting local businesses in their digital transformation and sustainable initiatives.
