Minister Dorothy Pietersz-Janga in quarantine

WILLEMSTAD - Dorothy Pietersz-Janga, Minister of Health, Environment and Nature (GMN) is in quarantine. Her absence was discussed in parliament this week.

The reason the GMN minister is in quarantine is because she has been in close contact with someone who has been infected with the COVID-19 virus. Pietersz-Janga is expected to be back at work today starting with a meeting in parliament about the current situation between the Curaçao Medical Center (SMC) and the Social Insurance Bank (SVB).

Due to the absence of Pietersz-Janga, the emergency meeting requested by the MAN faction on the financial situation of the CMC was not able to take place.
