WILLEMSTAD - The Minister of Traffic, Transport and Urban Planning, Charles Cooper of the MFK party, has been threatened with death. In front of the wall of the Groot Kwartier church was a sign that read 'Charles Cooper dead'. The reason for the threat is unknown.

Police were in talks with a man likely to have something to do with the sign. The reason for the threat was not clear from the conversation between the police and the man.

A response from the Public Prosecution Service (OM) shows that the minister can file a complaint and that the Public Prosecution Service will then conduct an in-depth investigation into the threat.
