WILLEMSTAD – Mike Willem informed Minister Zita Jesus-Leito of Traffic, Transportation and Urban Planning that he is not interested in the position of interim director of the Public Works Services, as was recently announced. The number one reason for Willem was the public outcry about this appointment, especially the conflict of interest between this position and his membership in the Advisory Council (RvA).

Minister Jesus-Leito indicated that she sees no conflict of interest and wished it could have been different. Her aim is to find the best possible candidate for the position that could be beneficial for Curaçao.

She will continue with her efforts to find a good candidate for the job. The person must comply with the job profile.
