WILLEMSTAD – Minister Zita Jesus-Leito of Traffic, Transport and Urban Planning has appointed Mike Willem as temporary director of the Department of Public Works (OW).

He will be mainly responsible for the coordination and implementation of the reorganization of OW. Willem is for the time being appointed for a year to do this job. He will therefore initiate the process for finding a permanent director.

Willem is an economist and has experience with policy. He has worked in the private and public sector and has also been a politician. Together with KPMG, the top officials of Ministry and the trade union, plans have been made for the reorganization of OW.
